Job Title: Licensed Professional Land Surveyor Location: Fayetteville, NC Experience Level: Mid-senior Experience Required: 3 - 5 Years Education Level: Bachelors degree preferred Job Function: Engineering Industry: Civil Engineering Total Position: 1 Relocation Assistance: Limited assistance Visa Sponsorship Eligibility: No Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic North Carolina Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to assist with the day-to-day operations of our survey department. The company currently runs three full-time survey crews and requires assistance with compiling and base mapping of survey data, generating staking calculations, preparing record plat maps, preparing ALTA surveys, preparing boundary surveys, topographic surveys, loan maps, and other related functions. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to multitask as required. Key Responsibilities: Compile and base map survey data Generate staking calculations Prepare record plat maps, ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and loan maps Perform quality control of all survey documents, including survey plans, record plats, ALTA surveys, legal descriptions, deed searches, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys Review title commitment reports Assist with direction and monitoring of multiple survey crews Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for survey computations and mapping Operate Conventional, robotic, and GPS survey and data collection equipment Handle subdivision design and associated surveying requirements for design and construction staking Manage municipal utility infrastructure projects and associated surveying requirements for design and construction staking Prioritize and multi-task numerous survey projects Maintain excellent time management skills Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Ensure workplace and site safety principles are upheld Requirements: Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in North Carolina or ability to transfer/obtain from another state in a very short amount of time 3 - 5 years of relevant experience Proficient in survey computations, office, and field procedures Experience performing quality control of survey documents Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D Experience with Conventional, robotic, and GPS survey equipment Valid drivers license Preferred: Bachelors degree in civil engineering Knowledge of practices and principles used in land surveying and civil engineering Ability to identify potential conflicts and issues Knowledge of workplace safety and site safety principles
