About the job : The primary role of the Veterinary Technician is to provide excellent care to the patients of Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center, as well as assist the veterinarian other medical staff, and upkeep of facility and equipment. How you'll make a difference Perform all essential duties of a Veterinary Technician Provide support to all veterinarians, often assisting more than one on your shift Monitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity based on position Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing Provide diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patients Properly use and maintain medical equipment Provide professional client communication Helps keep hospital areas clean and neat, maintain a safe and clean work environment Maintains client and patient confidentiality Meet or exceed performance standards for work quality and productivity Meet or exceed LVVSC expectations for attendance and punctuality Act as an ambassador of LVVSC at all times, displaying consideration, courtesy, compassion, and professionalism Other duties vary based on role and department What you will bring At least 3 years of recent veterinary experience (in any capacity) in a veterinary practice with increasing responsibilities is preferred. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong in and a willingness to provide client education and communication Attention to detail Knowledge of endoscopy procedures, equipment, and care a plus! At least 2 on-call shifts per month for emergency foreign-body endoscopy are mandatory once fully trained Schedule : 7 day a week service. Schedule will consist of four 10-hour shifts with rotating weekends Salary $25.00 - $30.00 / hour Relocation assistance available!
