Job Description Lifting Group Operator, Maintenance Services Location: Trail, BC, Canada Employment Type: Regular Full Time Workplace Type: On-site About Trail Operations Teck’s Trail Operations, located in the community of Trail in British Columbia, is one of the world’s largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Located in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern, British Columbia, Trail offers outdoor adventure at your fingertips. Role Overview Teck is looking for an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Group Leader, Mobile and Lift. This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Whether it’s biking and skiing, or the laid-back atmosphere of fishing and hiking, there is something for everyone. Please note this role does require the successful candidate to live within 100KM of Trail. British, Columbia. Relocation assistance will be offered, however there is no camp or company housing. Key Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Operate mobile cranes (up to 80 tonnes) to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials Ability to perform minor to complex lifting of equipment with various types of rigging Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes Ability to work within a flexible work environment with many trade disciplines Qualifications Mobile Crane Operator Hydraulic 80 Tonnes and Under Certificate or Journeyperson Crane Operator Ticket is required (Please submit proof of certification) Applicants require a Class 3 Drivers License with air brake endorsement Class 1 would be an asset Benefits Health Spending Account Personal Spending Account Extended Health Care Dental and Vision Care Defined Benefit Pension Plan Life Insurance and Disability Coverage Paid Sick Leave, Vacation, and Holidays Virtual Telemedicine and additional support for overall well-being Employer and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) Pay Range: $50.40 per hour The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
