Logistics Operations Manager

Location: Los Angeles, California

Salary: US$130,000 - US$170,000

Employment: Permanent, full-time

Relocation assistance: Available

Visa sponsorship: Must hold valid U.S. work authorization (e.g., Green Card, H-1B, EAD, or U.S. citizenship) and be available for long-term, full-time employment in Los Angeles.

Must have: Fluency in English is essential; Chinese language skills are also mandatory.



An international logistics and supply chain business is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to support its continued growth across Los Angeles and the surrounding region.

You will oversee warehouse operations, drayage, inland transportation, cross-border deliveries and last-mile distribution. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong knowledge of the Southern California logistics market.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse and transportation operations across Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
  • Oversee drayage, container loading and unloading, cross-border delivery and last-mile distribution.
  • Develop logistics schedules and routing plans to improve performance and control costs.
  • Manage third-party trucking companies, warehouse providers and customs brokers.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and monitor contractual, operational and compliance performance.
  • Track cargo throughout the supply chain and resolve delays, damage, loss and customs-related issues.
  • Develop and improve logistics procedures, inventory controls and inbound/outbound inspection standards.
  • Coordinate with international teams, customers and logistics partners.
  • Produce regular reports covering operational performance, risks and corrective actions.
  • Manage logistics budgets, analyse costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Lead the operational response to peak-season demand, cargo issues and last-minute container changes.


Candidate requirements

  • Practical logistics management experience within the United States.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, trucking and distribution.
  • Familiarity with the Port of Los Angeles, local drayage and US customs clearance procedures is highly desirable.
  • Confident managing third-party logistics suppliers and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Proficiency with Excel and warehouse or transport management systems, including WMS and TMS platforms.
  • Strong reporting, data analysis and cost-control capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and operational leadership skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; Chinese language skills would be highly advantageous.
  • Must hold valid US work authorization or be eligible for employer-sponsored authorization.
  • Available for long-term, full-time employment in Los Angeles.
