Job Purpose
This job contributes to the overall mission and goals of HDMA by ensuring delivery of parts at the right time, right condition, to plants by acting as a liaison between carriers, suppliers, Delivery Team and cross-docks.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead group comprised of Carriers, Suppliers, X-Dock associates, and Delivery associates to facilitate PDCA / Root Cause Analysis/ Why-Why analysis to determine and carryout appropriate countermeasure activity.
- Provide leadership and direction to carriers and cross-docks on consolidating and reducing loads to provide cost down for Transportation to meet Business Plan.
- Lead the department monthly report roll-up for UL review and signoff.
- Acting as liaison between Carriers and Cross-Docks with Delivery, Packaging and Transportation Teams to lead Reroute preparation activity.
- Monitor daily pulse reports to ensure Carriers and Cross-docks are processing and delivering on time and provide direction on path forward.
- Lead projects for Cross-Dock and Carrier Planning and future expansion
- Analyze Weekly invoices to ensure SOW is followed and being billed correctly
- Provide daily direction and guidance to Carriers and Cross-dock management team on potential damages and claims of parts flowing through Cross-docks.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain or equivalent
Minimum Experience:
- 2+ yrs. equivalent experience
Other Job-Specific Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of Honda Supply Chain flow
- Extensive knowledge of PPT and Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Customer Service skillset to deal with Honda Internal and external customers and problem resolution.

Decisions Expected
- Decide if recovery shipment timing will meet Mass Production need time understanding consolidation center pack out times.
- Decide if premium transportation/expedite is needed
- Decide to expedite from X-Dock to plant to avoid downtime.
- Decide when to cut loads from SAX to provide cost down activity.
- Decide when to award overtime, extra drivers, etc. to ensure deliveries are on time.
Working Conditions
- Strong Sense of urgency and flexibility to respond to critical issues and unplanned risk events
- Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift on a limited basis to support crisis.
