Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future

Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America. By combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost.

Following our $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint, launching new capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more, while scaling our Factory-as-a-Service platform to transform how critical products are built.

Backed by leading investors including JPMorgan Chase, Valor Equity Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, 137 Ventures, Lux Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Morgan Stanley, we’re building the future of American manufacturing—and looking for exceptional people to help make it happen.

If you’re ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding work of your career while helping create American manufacturing jobs for generations to come, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.

The Role

Hadrian’s Factory Automation team builds and supports the equipment that enables high-rate, reliable production. As part of this team, you will partner with manufacturing, controls, mechanical, and software engineers to deploy automation that improves safety, quality, throughput, and equipment availability across Hadrian’s factories.

You will assemble, install, troubleshoot, and improve custom manufacturing equipment. This hands-on role includes mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, pneumatic installation, equipment commissioning, and production support. You will work closely with engineers to turn designs into safe, dependable production systems of the future.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electromechanical automation systems.

  • Build and wire electrical control panels according to schematics and engineering documentation.

  • Install sensors, motors, actuators, safety devices, cable routing, and pneumatic components.

  • Support equipment installation, alignment, leveling, commissioning, and production launch.

  • Provide clear feedback to engineering teams about design for manufacturability.

  • Maintain organized work areas, tools, spare parts, and development equipment.

  • Follow electrical, machine-safety, lockout/tagout, and facility safety requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Ten or more years of experience assembling, maintaining, or troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, industrial automation, or similar systems.

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts.

  • Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, industrial controls, sensors, motors, and pneumatics.

  • Experience using drill presses, cutting tools, hand tools, welding, power tools, electrical test equipment, and precision measurement tools.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to craftsmanship.

  • Ability to troubleshoot methodically and communicate findings clearly.

  • Ability to lift equipment and work safely around industrial machinery.

  • Willingness to learn new systems and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Technical degree, trade-school education, apprenticeship, or relevant industry certification.

  • Experience building electrical control panels or industrial machinery.

  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment, industrial networks, HMIs, and safety circuits.

  • Experience with machining, welding, fabrication, or equipment rigging.

  • Forklift, scissor-lift, or lockout/tagout certification.

  • Experience supporting aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or other high-volume manufacturing operations.
