Relocation assistance is available and can be discussed during the interview process. *** This is a Temporary position *** SUMMARY Westerman, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Custodian with a proven ability to maintain plant safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. The role combines industrial cleaning with minor facility repairs to support continuous manufacturing operations. A successful candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met. RESPONSIBILITIES: Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees. Custodial & Cleaning: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, empty trash, and clean and sanitize restrooms. Basic Maintenance: Change air filters, replace light bulbs, and fix minor plumbing or hardware issues. Facility Upkeep: Patch wall damage, paint surfaces, and check safety equipment like fire extinguishers. Grounds & Exterior: Remove snow, sweep walkways, and handle basic outdoor litter or debris cleanup. Safety & Compliance: Monitor buildings for hazards, report major repair needs to management, and follow chemical safety rules. Follow OSHA standards, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) safety rules, and handle hazardous cleaning chemicals in a safe manner. Inventory Control: Track and restock facilities maintenance supplies, cleaning chemicals, and PPE stations. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 1-2 years of hands-on custodial, janitorial, or light maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment. Basic tool use, time management, and independent problem-solving skills Demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication required Must have and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license with an acceptable MVR as determined by the insurance carrier and the Company’s Vehicle Use Policy PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
