Posted Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 6:00 AM Maintenance Technician (Plumbing Focus) Astro Hill – Iqaluit, NU Subsidized Housing & Relocation Available About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support residential and commercial properties in Iqaluit. This role focuses on plumbing repairs, building maintenance, and general troubleshooting, with work performed in a northern environment. What You’ll Do Perform plumbing repairs (fixtures, leaks, drainage, water systems) Complete general building maintenance (basic electrical, doors, windows, HVAC support) Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies Prepare units for new tenants (repairs, inspections) Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance Support winterization and cold-weather building maintenance What We’re Looking For Experience in plumbing and building maintenance Strong troubleshooting and hands-on repair skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment Comfortable working in outdoor and cold-weather conditions Trades certification (plumbing, HVAC, electrical) is an asset What We Offer Competitive pay (based on experience) Subsidized staff housing Relocation assistance (within Canada) Stable, full-time employment Working Conditions Indoor and outdoor work across residential and commercial buildings On-call and occasional evenings/weekends required If you’re a motivated, hands-on technician looking for steady work and a unique northern experience, we’d love to hear from you.
