Maintenance Technician (Boiler Operator)

People • Customers • Trust Responsibilities: Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on plant equipment. This position will have a focus in troubleshooting and repair of electrical and PLC systems. Work as part of a team to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities as well as answer break down calls in a Production Environment. Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime and waste. Must be able to follow all safety and company policies that include lock-out tag-out procedures. Basic Qualifications: 1+ Year(s) experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing PLCs, conveyors, controls, Operating Systems, or other electrical equipment. Current third grade Stationary Engineer license or boiler license; PCA will sponsor. Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed. Be Authorized to work in the US. Preferred Qualifications: A Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades. Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry. Electrical or PLC certification. Experience with drives/PLCs from the following manufacturers: Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Lenze. Basic understanding of ladder logic. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Proficient at working with PLCs. Ability to read electrical blueprints/schematics. Basic computer skills for diagnostic equipment. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Starting salary for position: $31.51 - $44.95 Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics. Paid Vacation: 1 week per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year. Paid Holidays. Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages. Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions .
