We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality 2-D and 3-D mammography services within an established primary care practice in Downey, California.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mammography professional looking for a predictable daytime schedule with no nights, weekends, or call requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing an exceptional patient experience.

Position Overview

The Mammography Technologist will independently perform screening mammography studies while supporting the expansion of diagnostic imaging services within the practice.

In addition to performing mammograms, this position is responsible for required quality control testing, mammography tracking, documentation, and supporting patients throughout their imaging experience.

Key Responsibilities

Mammography & Patient Care

• Independently perform 3-D screening mammography studies
• Perform mammography procedures according to established clinical and safety standards
• Support both 2-D and 3-D mammography services
• Assist patients from check-in through completion of their examination
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered service throughout the imaging process
• Clearly communicate procedures and expectations to patients

Quality Control & Compliance

• Perform required mammography quality control testing
• Maintain accurate mammography tracking documentation
• Complete required data entry and clinical documentation
• Maintain compliance with MQSA requirements and applicable imaging standards
• Follow established radiation safety and quality assurance procedures

Practice Support

• Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members
• Support the continued development of mammography services within the practice
• Maintain equipment and work areas according to established standards
• Assist with additional operational needs as appropriate

Required Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Mammography (ARRT M)
• Currently meets MQSA requirements to independently perform mammography
• 1+ year of mammography experience
• Experience with both 2-D and 3-D mammography modalities
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices

Preferred Background

• Experience independently performing screening mammography
• Experience working in an outpatient imaging or physician practice environment
• Strong quality control and mammography documentation experience
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader clinical team

• Daytime schedule
