At Nambucca Valley Council, we're seeking an accomplished Manager Economic Development & Tourism with the sector expertise, commercial acumen and leadership experience to turn regional potential into measurable outcomes.

This is a senior leadership opportunity requiring extensive, demonstrated experience in economic development, tourism and/or regional growth, ideally within local government or a closely aligned sector.

We're not simply looking for someone with great ideas. We need someone who has successfully delivered them.

Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, you'll lead Council's economic development, tourism and community development initiatives, driving investment, strengthening industry partnerships and delivering meaningful outcomes for the region.

To succeed, you'll bring:

• Proven sector expertise - Extensive experience delivering economic development, tourism or regional growth initiatives, with a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing regional communities.
• Commercial and strategic capability - A demonstrated track record of identifying investment opportunities, developing strategies and translating them into tangible results.
• Established stakeholder influence - The credibility and experience to work effectively with government, industry, investors and community leaders.
• Leads with purpose - Inspires teams, drives collaboration and gets things moving.

You'll also hold relevant tertiary qualifications or bring substantial equivalent professional experience.
