Manufacturing Management Program (MMP) – Information Technology

Launch your information technology career by solving real business challenges, developing as a leader, and gaining experience across a MacLean-Fogg manufacturing facility and a Corporate or Shared Services team.

The Manufacturing Management Program (MMP) is MacLean-Fogg's two-year rotational development program for early-career information technology professionals who want more than a traditional entry-level role.

Over two one-year rotations, you will work alongside experienced professionals, manufacturing teams, and leaders, gaining hands-on experience in systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and user support. At the same time, you will build the leadership, communication, and business skills needed to grow your career at MacLean-Fogg.

Program at a Glance

• Salary: $75,000

• Program length: Two years with two one-year rotations

• Start date: July 2027

• Locations: One U.S. manufacturing facility and one Corporate or Shared Services team

• Relocation: Fully covered for both rotations

• First rotation location confirmed: Late April 2027

• Employment: Full-time

Important: MMP participants must be willing to relocate anywhere in the United States for both rotations. Your first location will not be confirmed until late April 2027.

What You Will Do

Your rotations are designed to give you meaningful information technology responsibility from the start. You will:

• Support technology systems and services used by manufacturing facilities and Corporate or Shared Services teams

• Analyze incidents, requests, system data, and business needs to improve reliability and user experience

• Partner with users and technical teams to implement changes, document solutions, and manage risk

• Lead a first-year project scoped with your supervisor and present your results to senior leaders

• Take on a larger second-year project proposed by the host team and matched to your background, development, and goals

• Present your work and recommendations to leaders throughout the program

• Complete a capstone presentation at the end of your second year

Your projects may involve systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and user support.

More Than a Rotational IT Job

MMP combines hands-on information technology experience with structured leadership development.

Throughout the program, you will:

• Complete leadership development alongside your day-to-day information technology work

• Build a mentoring relationship with an experienced employee at another MacLean-Fogg location

• Connect with an MMP participant who is at least one year ahead of you

• Build relationships across manufacturing facilities, Corporate or Shared Services teams, and functions

• Gain exposure to how information technology decisions affect employees, operations, customers, cost, and the broader business

• Develop experience communicating recommendations to both manufacturing teams and senior leaders

By the end of the program, you will have spent two years solving real business problems while building a broader understanding of manufacturing, leadership, and MacLean-Fogg.

MMP is designed for information technology professionals who are curious, adaptable, and ready to take ownership.

Successful participants can:

• Troubleshoot technical problems through a structured, evidence-based approach

• Balance user needs, business impact, security, and operational risk

• Explain technical issues and changes in clear language

• Adapt quickly when learning a new technology, system, or business environment

• Collaborate across technical and nontechnical teams

• Document work and follow through from issue identification through resolution

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field

• Degree conferred in 2026 or 2027

• Cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Demonstrated leadership through an internship, student organization, project team, volunteer role, or job

• Willingness to relocate anywhere in the United States for both one-year rotations

• Willingness to travel occasionally for orientation, program events, development activities, and facility visits

• Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

You do not need to check every box to be considered. Relevant experience may include:

• Internship, co-op, project, or coursework involving systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, analytics, software, or technical support

• Experience troubleshooting a technical issue and documenting the solution

• Exposure to cloud platforms, networking, enterprise applications, data tools, or security practices

• Interest in supporting technology within a manufacturing environment

What to Expect When You Apply

We want you to know what the process looks like from the beginning.

1. Apply online for the Manufacturing Management Program

2. Complete a short online assessment

3. Meet the MMP team in a 45-minute first-round interview with the two program coordinators. Review an IT case study in advance and discuss your approach during this conversation.

4. Meet two senior leaders if selected as a finalist

5. Receive a decision between January and April

Because MMP locations depend on business needs and available rotations, your first rotation assignment will be confirmed in late April 2027.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here represent those required to perform the essential functions of this role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Divide time between an office environment and a manufacturing facility

• Occasionally move throughout the manufacturing facility to observe equipment and processes

• Occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds, with assistance when needed

• Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and reach while observing work areas

• Respond to audible alarms, signals, and verbal direction in a high-noise environment

• Wear required personal protective equipment in production areas

• Use a computer for analysis, reporting, communication, and presentations for extended periods
