JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:
- Serve as a key quality liaison between manufacturing plants and component suppliers, ensuring effective communication and alignment on quality-related issues.
- Perform product inspections, implement containment actions, analyze quality data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and continuous quality improvements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and coordinate timely emergency, interim, and permanent corrective actions for customer and internal quality issues, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a quality ambassador, mentor, and sub-workstream leader, promoting End-to-End (E2E) Built-In Quality principles across the organization.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and projects, leveraging Office 365 tools to track progress, analyze data, and enhance operational performance.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, improve product quality, and reduce defects.
- Manage internal and external customer relationships in partnership with Manufacturing Engineering teams, ensuring prompt resolution of quality concerns.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies and quality tools, including Six Sigma and 8D, to investigate issues, implement corrective actions, and sustain process improvements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Strong working knowledge of quality standards, quality systems, and manufacturing operations within a production environment.
- Proven experience applying 8D methodology or other structured problem-solving techniques to investigate and resolve manufacturing quality issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze quality data, identify root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve product and process quality.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Strong verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, drive compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of engineering, design, manufacturing, and maintenance processes.
- Proficient in Office 365 applications with strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
