M&A/PE Lawyer | US Law Firm

Our client is a US law firm with a growing M&A/Private Equity practice. The team advises major Korean conglomerates, Southeast Asian corporates, private equity sponsors and sovereign wealth funds on cross-border transactions across Asia-Pacific.

About the Role

The firm is seeking a mid-level M&A Associate to join its Singapore corporate team. You will work closely with the partners on a variety of cross-border deals, including outbound Korean investment into the US and Southeast Asia, as well as regional transactions for Southeast Asian groups and private capital firms.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on cross-border public and private M&A, including acquisitions and disposals of carve-out businesses and controlling stakes
• Structuring and negotiating joint ventures and consortium arrangements, including in regulated sectors
• Acting on private equity and growth-stage investments, minority stake sales and strategic investments
• Drafting and negotiating SPAs, SHAs, JV agreements, investment agreements and ancillary transaction documents
• Managing day-to-day communication with Korean clients and co-counsel, in both Korean and English

Key Requirements

• 3–7 years’ PQE in corporate M&A, gained at an international or top-tier domestic firm
• Qualified in New York, Singapore, England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction
• Native or professional fluency in Korean (written and spoken), with full professional English
• Strong cross-border transaction experience, ideally including deals involving Korean clients
