Marketing Director — Natural Gas Projects & Energy Services

📍 Liège, Walloon Region, Belgium

🤝 Shape our market presence, build customer demand and support the growth of a commercially sound energy business.

We’re looking for a Marketing Director to lead the marketing strategy, brand development and customer acquisition programmes for a natural gas projects and energy services business.

Our project plan focuses on four areas: industrial heating upgrades and energy service agreements; agricultural renewable natural gas development; enterprise gas procurement and energy management; and mobile CNG/LNG supply and equipment rental.

You’ll work with the CEO, commercial team and technical specialists to identify priority markets, communicate our services clearly and develop marketing programmes that generate qualified opportunities.

Your marketing remit

Define the company’s marketing strategy, market positioning and annual marketing priorities, aligning activities with business readiness, customer demand and commercial objectives.

Conduct market research and customer analysis to identify promising sectors, customer needs, buying processes and competitive opportunities.

Develop clear value propositions for each planned business area, translating technical capabilities into relevant customer benefits supported by evidence.

Build the company’s brand identity and messaging, maintaining consistency across the website, presentations, proposals, digital channels and industry communications.

Plan and deliver targeted B2B campaigns for industrial customers, agricultural businesses, energy procurement teams and other relevant decision-makers.

Establish lead generation and qualification processes with the commercial team, agreeing how enquiries are assessed, assigned and followed through.

Develop account-based marketing programmes for priority customers, supporting the commercial team with tailored content and coordinated outreach.

Create sales enablement materials, including service overviews, project case studies, customer presentations and proposal content, working with technical specialists to ensure accuracy.

Lead digital marketing activities across the company website, search, LinkedIn, email and other relevant channels, measuring their contribution to qualified demand.

Plan participation in industry conferences, trade exhibitions and partner events, with clear objectives for customer engagement and follow-up.

Build marketing relationships with equipment suppliers, engineering partners, agricultural organisations and industry associations to support joint campaigns and market access.

Manage marketing budgets, agencies and internal resources, evaluating performance through lead quality, conversion, pipeline contribution and customer acquisition costs.

Establish reporting and feedback processes that connect campaign performance with commercial outcomes and inform future marketing decisions.

Ensure public communications accurately reflect the company’s capabilities, project status and service terms, with appropriate review of technical, environmental and performance claims.

The experience we value

Senior B2B marketing experience in natural gas, energy services, industrial technology, infrastructure or a closely related sector.

A demonstrated record of developing marketing strategies, building brand awareness and generating qualified commercial opportunities is essential.

You should bring experience establishing a marketing function or supporting a new business line, with the ability to turn an early-stage business plan into focused marketing priorities and measurable results.

Experience marketing one or more of our planned service areas—industrial heating, agricultural renewable natural gas, enterprise gas procurement or mobile CNG/LNG supply—would be particularly valuable.

An understanding of complex buying processes, long sales cycles and the different priorities of technical, operational, procurement and financial decision-makers is important.

You should be comfortable working with engineers and commercial specialists to produce clear, accurate messaging without overstating savings, project returns or environmental benefits.

Practical experience in digital marketing, content development, account-based marketing, CRM systems and marketing performance analysis is expected.

Strong budget management, agency coordination, communication and team development skills are essential, alongside the ability to work closely with sales and senior leadership.

Compensation package

Fixed remuneration with a performance component linked to agreed marketing milestones, qualified pipeline contribution, campaign effectiveness, budget management and support for sustainable business growth.

Proposed support includes relocation or housing assistance, a company vehicle or vehicle allowance, and business travel support. Final arrangements will reflect the agreed responsibilities and employment terms.

We’re looking for a marketing leader who can establish a clear market position, build an effective marketing function and turn customer understanding into qualified commercial opportunities.
