Job Description
Internal Title for this role: ISC Master Data Lead
Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International?
Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It With Pride.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Build & Govern the Single Source of Truth
- Architect and implement an authoritative master data repository ensuring all systems (O9, S4/HANA, CPS) consume from one golden record
- Establish master data as the unbreakable backbone for all digital transformation initiatives — zero exceptions, zero workarounds
- Define golden record strategy for every data domain; eliminate duplicates, inconsistencies, and shadow data across the enterprise
- Drive 100% master data completeness and accuracy as a non-negotiable KPI for every system go-live
2. Lead Across Plan–Make–Source–Deliver
You will own master data end-to-end across the entire India value chain — not just one function, not just one system. Every leg of the supply chain depends on you:
3. Eliminate Data Leakages & Build System Interlocks
- Partner with Regional D&A team to systematically identify and eliminate every data leakage point across all source systems
- Build mandatory system interlocks at source — validation rules, mandatory fields, automated data quality gates — that prevent incorrect or incomplete data entry from ever reaching downstream systems
- Implement real-time data quality monitoring with automated alerts and escalation protocols for every critical exception
- Conduct regular data health audits across all 17 sites (4 own + 13 EM) and enforce corrective action within defined SLAs
4. Simplify Data Flows & Enable Automated MIS
- Rationalize and simplify data flows between systems — eliminate every manual handoff, every spreadsheet bridge, every reconciliation nightmare
- Ensure automated MIS is fully operational — real-time master data health dashboards visible to leadership and functional teams at all times
- Drive all relevant master data to sit in Google Cloud as the enterprise-wide central data lake, accessible, governed, and trusted by all consuming applications
- Design and deploy data pipelines that ensure automated synchronization across O9, S4/HANA, CPS, and Google Cloud with zero manual intervention
5. Drive Enterprise Data Governance
- Establish a robust governance operating model with appointed Data Stewards, Data Owners, and Function Champions across Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial, Finance, and Manufacturing
- Define and enforce RACI for every master data domain — clear accountability, no grey zones, no exceptions
- Run monthly data governance forums with senior functional leadership; provide scorecards, trend analysis, and escalation recommendations
- Institutionalize data governance culture — training, change management, and embedding data ownership into functional performance frameworks
6. Lead Enterprise Transformation Programs
O9 — Supply Chain Planning Platform
SAP S4/HANA — ERP Transformation
CPS — Consumer Planning System
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience
Minimum 5 years in master data management and data governance, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
Transformation
Proven track record of leading data workstreams in large-scale ERP / digital transformations, SAP S4/HANA strongly preferred
Planning Tools
Hands-on experience with supply chain planning platforms (O9, SAP APO, IBP, or equivalent)
Governance
Deep expertise in data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM) and golden record / MDM strategies
Cloud & Analytics
Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform / BigQuery; experience with automated MIS and data quality dashboards
Industry
