Master Production Scheduler

The Master Scheduler is accountable to develop and maintain production and material schedules supporting manufacturing operations to ensure on-time delivery to customers.

• Monitor progress against scheduled activities and identify performance variances to Materials Manager to facilitate focus on critical areas as well as developing and implementing work-around recovery plans.Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve manufacturing or Supply Chain issues that may impact customer expectations.
• Communicate all scheduling changes with Mtls Manager and other Plant Mgt Team.
• Analyze root causes of schedule disruptions and capacity issues.
• Collaborate with Plant Mgt Team in planning and controlling recovery plans in case of deviations.
• Reduce expedite frequency and reactive planning.
• Prepare performance data, reports and metrics as required by company and customers.
• This role is a member of 13+ Materials Team and reports to the Materials Manager.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

• Bachelor’s Degree, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field. Experience as Master Scheduler or Production Planner considered in leu of degree.
• 5+yrs of Master Scheduler experience in automotive manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills in complex and demanding situations that undergo continuous priority changes.
• Strong understanding of MRP concepts, BOMs, raw materials, and inventory management.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems (prefer QAD), MRP software, MS Excel, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve scheduling and production challenges in conjunction with Materials Manager and Plant Mgt Team.
• Capability to multitask, prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
