Lead Master Scheduler
Location: Leeds, AL | On-Site
Salary: $115,000 Base + 10% Bonus
Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time | 1st Shift
Relocation: Available
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Master Scheduler to oversee the full-facility production schedule for an established manufacturing operation. This position will lead approximately 5 production schedulers and manage scheduling, forecasting, past-due recovery, and SAP/MRP planning.
🚨 IMPORTANT: Candidates must have hands-on manufacturing production scheduling experience. This position is NOT a logistics, warehouse, transportation, or logistics-planning role.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the plant-wide production schedule and lead, coach, and develop 5 schedulers.
- Review orders, work orders, backlog, capacity, and material availability to maintain accurate production schedules.
- Manage past-due orders and develop recovery plans.
- Build production forecasts using backlog, safety stock, and production data.
- Identify production risks and recommend schedule, committed-date, and lead-time changes.
- Monitor KPIs including schedule attainment, on-time delivery, forecast accuracy, and past-due reduction.
- Partner with Materials, Production, and other departments to improve scheduling and delivery performance.
Required Qualifications
- Must have manufacturing production scheduling experience.
- Experience scheduling production lines in a manufacturing environment.
- Logistics, warehouse, transportation, or distribution scheduling experience alone will not qualify.
- Hands-on SAP/MRP experience, including PP and MM; WM is a plus.
- Experience leading planners or production schedulers.
- Strong forecasting, capacity planning, and schedule management skills.
- Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills.
- Experience improving on-time delivery, schedule attainment, and past-due orders.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Must be available to work on-site Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 AM–4:30 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
