LaFamiglia is looking for a skilled Barista / Matcha Specialist to join Caffelini, our specialty coffee project in Dubai Sports City.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, understands what makes a great drink, and enjoys creating a welcoming experience for every guest. Strong matcha expertise is a key requirement for this role, alongside solid knowledge of coffee and other non-alcoholic beverages.

About the Role

You will be responsible for preparing and serving our beverage selection, maintaining consistent quality, and contributing ideas for new drinks. We want someone who is confident working with matcha, understands how ingredients and techniques affect flavour, and pays attention to every detail, from preparation to presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality matcha drinks, coffee, lemonades, and other non-alcoholic beverages.

• Apply correct matcha preparation techniques, including sifting, whisking, temperature control, and balancing flavours.

• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning, following agreed recipes.

• Help develop new matcha drinks and seasonal beverage specials.

• Guide guests through the menu and make recommendations based on their preferences.

• Keep the beverage station clean, organised, and ready for service.

• Monitor stock, ensure correct storage, and minimise waste.

• Work closely with the team to deliver efficient, friendly service.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Barista or Beverage Specialist in a quality-focused café or restaurant.

• Strong practical experience preparing matcha, with an understanding of quality, flavour profiles, and preparation methods.

• Good knowledge of espresso-based coffee, milk steaming, and other non-alcoholic beverages.

• Experience preparing smoothies will be an advantage.

• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain standards during busy service.

• Good communication skills in English and a warm, guest-focused attitude.

• A reliable, proactive approach and a willingness to contribute ideas.
