Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor in Bodio, Switzerland, with our client, a world leader in mineral-based solutions for industry.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will oversee the plant’s mechanical maintenance operations, leading a multidisciplinary technical team and ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Beyond its operational responsibilities, the position offers excellent long-term career development prospects, with increasing involvement in strategic maintenance planning, budgeting, and site-level decision-making, providing a clear pathway towards broader maintenance leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary maintenance team of approximately 12–15 professionals.
• Oversee preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, shutdowns and plant reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and safety.
• Contribute to CAPEX projects, maintenance budgets and strategic planning.
• Prepare to take full responsibility for site maintenance operations.

Requierements

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in heavy industry or continuous-process manufacturing.
• Experience leading technical and maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS, reliability engineering and EHS.
• Fluent Italian and professional English are essential. German is a plus.
• Based in Ticino or open to relocation.
