Role Description

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Eastanollee, Georgia. This position is responsible for supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of production machinery and auxiliary equipment to help ensure safe and reliable manufacturing operations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on copper wire production equipment, compressors, fans, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The technician will also perform bearing replacement, lubrication, repairs involving belts, pulleys, shafts and gears, and support machine installation, alignment, piping, utility work, and preventive maintenance activities.

The role requires close attention to safety, accurate documentation of maintenance work, and effective collaboration with the production team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience with at least one of the following:

-Copper wire drawing machines

-Copper wire coating/plating machines

-Copper casting/UPCAST equipment

• Strong practical knowledge of gearboxes, bearings, shafts, belt and pulley systems, pneumatic equipment, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical failures and perform effective and reliable repairs.
• Experience with machine installation, mechanical adjustments, piping, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments effectively.
• Ability to work a shift schedule as required.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Vocational or technical education in mechanical technology, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
