Mechanical Technician Opportunity, Iraq (#969)

An international leading company with offices in the 6 continents and with 20 years experience on thousands of projects worldwide providing variable work force solutions and engineering services to the Power Generation and Oil & Gas industries. Mechanical Technician Reporting to : Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities: Maintains and repairs mechanical device such as gas turbine engines, steam turbines, diesel engines, generators, heat recovery steam generators, gas compressors, air compressors, motors, pumps and valves to provide utilities with electrical power by performing the duties given below. Duties:  Visually inspects and uses vibration analysis device at periodic intervals and condition monitoring to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or lubrication.  Perform machine work, pipe fitting, plumbing, PVC welding, turbine, boiler compressors and auxiliary device repair.  Assembles overhauls and re-assembles operating parts of turbine, boilers, pumps, fans, water treatment plant, fire-fighting device, diesel purifier, air and gas compressors and other auxiliary device.  Uses hand and mechanical tools in repairing and maintaining turbine, boiler and compressor parts, valves, fans, pumps and other plant machinery and device.  Cleans, lubricates and paints plant device and buildings  Performs general carpentry and welding jobs in the alteration, repair and maintenance of plant device and plant buildings.  Operates overhead cranes, light vehicles and fork lifts. 3 years Diploma of Associate Engineer in Mechanical Technology with 5-7 years of experience at CCPP/Petrochemicals.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization.
