Who We Are

The Worldfolio is a media and advertising agency producing socioeconomic and industrial reports in collaboration with international media partners.

Our work brings us into contact with leaders of Fortune 500 companies, growing businesses, government institutions and industry organizations. Through interviews, editorial reports and promotional campaigns, we explore the companies and industries shaping Asian economies.

Our commercial team develops the advertising and promotional partnerships that support these publications.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead face-to-face meetings with business leaders and PR, marketing and communications teams.
  • Understand each client’s objectives and present relevant advertising and promotional opportunities.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers, from the first meeting through negotiation, publication and future collaboration.
  • Negotiate proposals and close deals through in-person meetings, calls and email follow-ups.
  • Research prospective clients and their industries to prepare informed, persuasive presentations.
  • Work alongside our journalists during interviews with business leaders.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams to support upcoming publications.

Who We’re Looking For

You are confident presenting in person, comfortable discussing commercial proposals and skilled at building trust with clients.

You enjoy understanding a business, identifying what matters to its decision-makers and turning that understanding into a compelling proposal. You take ownership of your pipeline, follow up consistently and stay focused on results.

Curiosity matters too: you will work with companies across industries including robotics, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, automotive and real estate.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in sales or business development.
  • Demonstrated experience in face-to-face selling and managing client relationships.
  • A track record of negotiating and closing commercial deals.
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • Japanese language skills are preferred but not required.

Experience in B2B sales, media sales or account management with responsibility for winning business is particularly relevant.

What We Offer

  • A fixed salary, monthly performance bonuses and sales commissions.
  • Two to three months of sales training.
  • Japanese visa support and health insurance.
  • Opportunities for career progression and international team leadership.
  • Direct exposure to business leaders and a wide range of industries.
