Overview The Dartmouth Cancer Center is looking for a BC/BE hematology/oncology physician to join their regional clinics in northern Vermont and New Hampshire. This position will require travel between two of the three Dartmouth Cancer Center clinics in St. Johnsbury, VT, Littleton Hospital in Littleton, NH and Weeks Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, NH. This position provides critical cancer care to patients and families in the Northeast Kingdom of VT and Northern New Hampshire. This position is supported by an excellent clinical team made up of group of Advanced Practice Providers, nursing staff, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, social workers, and dieticians. Ideal candidates will be able to collaborate effectively within an expanding integrated health system, have excellent communication skills and evidence of a strong clinical background. Candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment through the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College at a rank commensurate with qualifications. The Dartmouth Cancer Center (DCC) is one of only 72 NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers and the only one north of Boston and east of Buffalo. DCC is committed to providing access to research-based, high-quality care, advanced technologies, and clinical trials for patients throughout northern New England. This position is critical to DCC’s mission to provide top-rated care to patients throughout its catchment area. Its research, clinical care, and training are integrated at the Cancer Center with priority on translation of innovation, interdisciplinary care, team science, and career development. This position is adjacent to Vermont’s “Northeast Kingdom” and is in New Hampshire’s North Country, which is a desired vacation setting, offering some of the most beautiful scenery and natural wonders in America. The Appalachian Trail passes through the area and the Connecticut River borders the West, with the White Mountains on one side and Vermont’s Green Mountains on the other side. One enjoys four beautiful seasons here in this traditional New England location, complete with stone walls, farms, and a 300-year-old landscape reminiscent of a Currier and Ives print. This scenic area of Northern New England offers distinctive shops, fine dining, art galleries, and a range of outdoor activities for all seasons, including easy access to hiking, mountain biking, skiing and riding, and snowmobiling in the famous Presidential Range. For a 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent position, the annual base salary range for Medical Oncology is $410,000 to $475,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Incentive compensation may be available in addition to base salary. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and CME support).
