About the Role
We are hiring a Member of Technical Staff – Simulation Engineer to build high-fidelity robotics simulations and 3D digital assets that generate synthetic training data for some of the world’s most advanced frontier robotics labs.
This role is central to solving one of robotics’ biggest challenges: the scarcity of real-world physical data. You will create scalable simulation environments, digital assets, and pipelines that enable the development of world models and embodied AI systems.
We welcome exceptional fresh Master’s and PhD graduates as well as experienced simulation engineers. Due to major new contracts, we are immediately scaling the team.
What You Will Do
- Build high-fidelity robotics simulations and 3D digital assets at scale using Blender and Python
- Generate synthetic training data for robotics, world models, and embodied AI applications
- Develop simulation infrastructure and pipelines to create, run, manage, and evaluate simulation environments
- Model robot dynamics, physics, and interactions for humanoids, manipulators, and robotic arms
- Collaborate closely with PhD researchers and engineering teams building next-generation robotic intelligence
- Help improve simulation realism, scalability, performance, and sim-to-real alignment
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Blender and Python, including building 3D assets, environments, and simulation pipelines
- Experience building high-fidelity simulation systems or simulation infrastructure, either in academia or industry
- Background in robotics, AI, simulation, computer graphics, or physical AI
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with at least one major robotics simulation platform, such as MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, PyBullet, Gazebo, Drake, or NVIDIA Omniverse
- Experience with humanoid robots, manipulators, or robotic arms
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco five days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Degree from a top-tier university, or directly relevant simulation experience at a robotics, world-model, or major technology company
- Experience with ROS2, C++, and large-scale simulation infrastructure
- Experience calibrating simulations against real robot behavior or working on sim-to-real transfer
- Prior work at humanoid robotics, robotic-arm, manufacturing robotics, world-model, or big-tech robotics teams
- Familiarity with synthetic data generation, domain randomization, procedural asset creation, or photorealistic rendering
