About the role This is more than a Metallurgy Superintendent role! We're looking for an experienced metallurgical leader to take ownership of our metallurgy and laboratory functions and play a key role in the future success. Leading a team of metallurgists, graduates, vacation students and laboratory professionals, you'll have the opportunity to influence operating strategy, drive continuous improvement, optimise plant performance and deliver projects that make a real impact. Roster: 8/6, 12 hours per day (Dayshift only) Location: Peak Mine, Cobar NSW Travel options Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance FIFO from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne Key responsibilities Leading and mentoring our Metallurgy and Laboratory teams Driving recovery improvements and plant optimisation initiatives Providing technical leadership across gold and base metals processing operations Managing metallurgical accounting, reconciliation and performance reporting Overseeing laboratory operations and analytical quality standards Identifying, developing and delivering improvement projects from concept through to implementation Working closely with operations, maintenance and technical services to maximise plant performance Qualifications and experience Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or an equivalent qualification Extensive experience in a mineral processing plant, including demonstrated leadership experience Strong metallurgical background with polymetallic ore flotation experience Sound knowledge of SAG and ball milling, gravity circuits, flotation, thickening, filtration, cyanide leaching, CIP, elution, electrowinning, and tailings management Proven ability to lead technical teams, optimise plant performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives MAKE AN IMPACT, GET RECOGNISED – BE AN AURELIAN At Aurelia Metals, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
