At Maitland Maternity, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Midwifery Unit Manager (MUM) to lead our obstetric and gynaecology clinics. In this dynamic position, you’ll play a key role in leading outstanding care to our outpatient services, including MAPS, Gynaecology and EPAS clinics. On any given day, you will be ensuring staff welfare and managing rosters, triaging referrals, mentoring junior staff and supporting complex cases and so on. This is a brand new position, which allows our new MUM to shape the models of care in a way that works best for both the team and the broader community. If you want to be part of this exciting change, we want to hear from you!

You won’t be working alone. You’ll be supported by your fellow MUM’s, a dedicated MAPS Clinical Midwifery Educator (CME) as well as the Nurse Manager for Women and Children’s Health. Teamwork is central to this role, as you work with a multidisciplinary team made up of Medical, Allied Health and Nursing/ Midwifery staff to develop and deliver individualised care plans that address the unique needs of every patient.
