This role works closely with Mine Operations, Mobile Maintenance, Electrical, and Site IT / Mining Technology teams to support fleet technology, wireless communications, RF infrastructure, and remote operational technology systems. These systems are production-critical and safety-related — directly supporting fleet connectivity, driver safety monitoring systems, and operational communications infrastructure required for safe and efficient mining activities. This position requires strong hands-on troubleshooting capability, comfort working in field and industrial environments, and the ability to support a wide range of fleet, RF, and remote infrastructure technologies that keep the mine running. Perform ground-level inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on communication tower infrastructure, including antennas, transmission lines, connectors, grounding systems, lightning protection, tower lighting, and shelter equipment. Conduct sweep testing and RF performance validation in coordination with qualified tower contractors who perform any at-height work. Maintain backup power systems at tower sites, including UPS, batteries, rectifiers, and solar/charging systems supporting continuous radio coverage. Support RF coverage analysis, intermod troubleshooting, frequency coordination, and FCC licensing compliance in coordination with vendors and the IT Superintendent.
