Job Title ML Tech Lead Location San Francisco, CA Role Summary As an ML Tech Lead at Cleanlab, you will spearhead the integration of cutting-edge Generative AI technology to create tools that automatically detect and rectify dataset issues. Your mission will be to enhance the value of data using AI, working with diverse datasets in text, structured/tabular, and image/video formats. You will guide a talented team of ML engineers in developing the most effective Data-Centric AI platform, contribute to the community through publications and open-source code, and drive the practical application of AI in data/AI projects. Key Responsibilities Serve as the technical lead for a team of approximately 5 ML engineers. Manage large-scale ML projects with Cleanlab's enterprise customers from start to finish. Develop innovative algorithmic techniques to refine datasets, utilizing the latest advancements in Foundation models. Qualifications 5-9 years of relevant experience in AI Engineering. PhD in Machine Learning or equivalent industry experience is highly desirable. Exceptional Python skills and experience in productionizing code/models in cloud environments. Proven ability to handle large datasets/models. A passion for making a significant impact on the company and the broader Data/AI project landscape by building practical tools. Preferred Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience (or 2 years with a PhD from a top university or with notable GitHub contributions or publications). Candidates should be enthusiastic about hybrid work and preferably based in San Francisco. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $200k - $270k. Competitive Equity. Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate. Hybrid work policy: 3 days per week in our San Francisco office. Full-time, W-2 position.
