The role involves providing expert neonatal care and consulting services as a board-certified Neonatologist with over 3 years of experience.
Responsibilities include coverage at multiple NICUs, including a Level 4 facility with advanced services such as ECMO, neuro NICU, and pediatric subspecialties, as well as Level 3 and Level 2 NICUs offering comprehensive neonatal services.
The position requires collaboration on quality improvement initiatives, educational duties for physicians and staff, and community outreach.
Opportunities exist for research involvement and collaboration with other institutions.
Qualifications include board certification and relevant clinical experience. Key skills include expertise in neonatal intensive care, teamwork, and communication.
The compensation ranges from $301,000 to $351,000, based on experience and faculty rank, with benefits like retirement contributions, medical/dental coverage, paid time off, CME funds, relocation assistance, malpractice and life insurance, and loan repayment options.
This role requires California residency and is not eligible for a Conrad 30 Waiver.
