Nephrologist (Cardio-Renal Specialist Focus) | Relocation Opportunity to Libya About the Role We are seeking an experienced Nephrologist with a strong interest and background in cardio-renal medicine to join a leading cardiac healthcare facility in Libya. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a highly specialized multidisciplinary team dedicated to managing complex cardiovascular and renal conditions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of renal disorders affecting patients with cardiovascular disease, particularly those in cardiac intensive care, post-cardiac surgery recovery, and advanced heart failure programs. Working closely with cardiologists, intensivists, and cardiac surgeons, you will help optimize renal function and improve outcomes for critically ill cardiac patients. What You'll Do Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic renal disorders in patients with cardiovascular disease. Provide specialized care for patients with cardio-renal syndrome, acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease, and renal complications associated with cardiac conditions. Manage renal dysfunction in critically ill patients within cardiac ICU and post-cardiac surgery settings. Oversee renal replacement therapies, including Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), hemodialysis, and other dialysis modalities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on optimizing renal and cardiovascular outcomes. Monitor fluid balance, electrolyte management, and hemodynamic stability in complex cardiac patients. Collaborate closely with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Participate in the management of heart failure patients experiencing fluid overload and renal impairment. Provide consultation services and evidence-based recommendations for renal management across inpatient and critical care units. Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with clinical governance, patient safety, and quality standards. Qualifications Required Doctor of Medicine (MD) with Board Certification in Nephrology. Minimum 5–7 years of post-certification clinical experience in Nephrology. Strong clinical expertise in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic kidney diseases. Proven experience managing CRRT, dialysis therapies, and acute kidney injury in critically ill patients. Excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills. Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Preferred Experience working within cardiac hospitals, cardiovascular centers, or cardiac ICU environments. Strong exposure to cardio-renal syndrome management. Experience managing AKI following cardiac surgery. Expertise in fluid management for heart failure and critically ill cardiovascular patients. Strong understanding of hemodynamic instability and renal implications in cardiac patients. Experience participating in multidisciplinary cardiac care programs.
