New Graduate Veterinarian

Insight Veterinary Wellness Center | El Dorado Hills, CA

At Insight Veterinary Wellness Center, we believe pets and people deserve better care.

We’re looking for a New Graduate Veterinarian to begin their career with our experienced, collaborative team in El Dorado Hills. Through our six-month mentorship program, you’ll build your clinical confidence, develop practical skills and establish your approach to patient care with guidance from experienced colleagues.

Insight brings primary care, 24/7 emergency services and rehabilitation together under one roof. You’ll join a team of more than 75 professionals, giving you access to a broad range of expertise as you make the transition from veterinary student to practicing veterinarian.

And that support goes further. As part of VetnCare, you’ll be connected to experienced clinicians, shared expertise and a dedicated Community Support Team, giving you the resources to build a rewarding, sustainable career.

What you can expect at Insight:

  • Six months of structured mentorship, supporting your transition into practice and helping you develop confidence in clinical decision-making.
  • A gradual increase in responsibility, with opportunities to build your caseload and independence as your skills develop.
  • Experienced colleagues to learn from, including veterinarians, skilled RVTs and veterinary assistants who value collaboration and continued learning.
  • A varied primary care caseload, helping you develop skills in preventive care, medical consultations, diagnostics, client communication, dentistry and surgery.
  • Exposure to a wider range of medicine, through our onsite emergency and rehabilitation teams, with learning opportunities guided by your interests and readiness.
  • Tools that advance the standard of care, including digital radiology, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, two operating rooms and a dedicated dental suite.
  • A community-driven culture, including our Canine Blood Donor Program.
  • A team grounded in shared values, working together, staying curious, speaking up, and looking for better ways to care for pets, support clients, and help one another.

Your Six-Month Mentorship Program

The program will focus on helping you develop the foundations for a confident and sustainable veterinary career:

  • Clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning and treatment planning.
  • Clear, compassionate client communication.
  • Case organization, prioritization and continuity of care.
  • Surgical and dental skills appropriate to your experience.
  • Recognizing when to seek guidance and using the expertise around you.
  • Reflecting on your progress and identifying your next development goals.

Your development will be supported through case discussions, feedback and opportunities to learn alongside experienced clinicians.

What Better Care means for you:

  • $140,000 to $160,000 base salary plus uncapped production bonus with no negative accrual
  • Sign-on bonus and relocation support for qualified candidates
  • $2,000 annual CE allowance plus 40 hours of paid CE time
  • 401(k) with 100% company match up to 4%
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • FSA and HSA options
  • Paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays
  • Pet care discounts
  • Life, AD&D, and disability insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Uniform allowance
  • Opportunities for continued clinical and professional growth

The right fit:

  • A recent DVM graduate.
  • A California veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain one before starting clinical practice.
  • Curiosity, a willingness to learn and openness to feedback.
  • A thoughtful, compassionate approach to patients and clients.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
