Thinking about moving to Hawaii? This is a way to get there with a real job lined up. A Maui FQHC is hiring an experienced NP and is set up for providers coming from the mainland. There's a $10,000 sign-on bonus you can use for relocation, and you can apply before you have a Hawaii license (license-eligible is fine, and credentialing takes about 4 to 6 weeks). You can also register your DEA using the clinic's address. Once you're settled, you'll practice independently with a dedicated RN and MA, a physician lead, and weekly peer consultations, caring for a diverse, medically complex community. The role may also qualify for federal loan repayment. At least 1 year of independent NP practice is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive adult primary care across a complex, high-need panel
- Manage multiple comorbidities, post-discharge follow-up, and preventive care
- Partner with your RN and MA on documentation and patient flow
- Use your weekly admin block for charting, refills, and results
- Rotate between clinics (including Kahana) and take periodic evening shifts
- Treat every patient with dignity, regardless of circumstance
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii NP license, or license-eligible
- Board-certified FNP, AGNP, AGPCNP, or ANP (AGACNP not accepted; this is a primary care role)
- 1+ year of independent NP practice; NP residency a plus
- Active DEA registration with a Hawaii address (the clinic's address can be used; DEA cost reimbursed), plus Hawaii state narcotics (NED) registration once your DEA is active (separate state fee applies)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, medically complex setting
- Genuine interest in serving Maui's diverse communities
Schedule & Compensation
- $135,000–$165,000 base + up to $10,000 annual incentive
- $10,000 sign-on bonus to help with your move
- 40 hrs/week (36 clinical + 4 admin) | Fully onsite
- Medical, dental, vision | Malpractice | CE | PTO
- DEA reimbursed | Loan repayment eligible
- 2-week no-patient onboarding with a gradual caseload ramp
