Ready to make the move to Maui? This community health center is actively recruiting NPs from the mainland and backs the move with a $10,000 sign-on bonus you can put toward relocation. You don't need a Hawaii license yet: license-eligible candidates are welcome, credentialing takes about 4 to 6 weeks, and you can register your DEA using the clinic's Hawaii address. Once you arrive, you'll get 2 weeks of onboarding with no patients, a dedicated RN and MA, 4 hours of protected admin time each week, and a gradual ramp to a full schedule. You'll provide independent adult primary care to a complex, primarily Medicaid community. At least 1 year of independent NP practice is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver independent adult primary care: chronic, acute, and preventive
- Carry a shared ~2,000-patient panel with your RN and MA
- Follow a 15-minute visit schedule with an open slot each hour
- Close charts, handle refills, and follow up on labs during protected admin time
- Rotate to Kahana 1–2 days/week and share evening shifts with all providers
- Collaborate in weekly case consultations with peers
Qualifications
- Hawaii NP license, active or eligible (~4–6 weeks to credential)
- Board-certified FNP, AGNP, AGPCNP, or ANP (AGACNP not accepted; this is a primary care role)
- At least 1 year of independent NP experience
- Active DEA registration with a Hawaii address (the clinic's address can be used; DEA cost reimbursed), plus Hawaii state narcotics (NED) registration once your DEA is active (separate state fee applies)
- Confident managing complex adult patients in a fast-paced clinic
- Open, humble approach to a diverse community | FQHC background a plus
Schedule & Compensation
- $135,000–$165,000 base
- $10,000 sign-on bonus, usable for relocation or anything else
- Up to $10,000 annual incentive
- Full-time, 40 hrs/week with 4 protected admin hours
- Medical, dental, vision | Malpractice | CE assistance | PTO
- DEA reimbursed | Federal loan repayment eligibility through FQHC status
