The NTI Hardware Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and managing the manufacturing plan for assigned NTI parts. This role translates design requirements into a practical, executable manufacturing route across internal operations, external suppliers, sub-tiers, and special process sources to support successful qualification and delivery.

Job Description

Site Overview

GE Aerospace has an advanced engineering center located in İstanbul, Kartal, complemented by cutting-edge laboratories in Kocaeli, Gebze. Our offices in İstanbul and Ankara provide essential support to commercial and defense engines across the country. Our highly skilled engineers at the Türkiye Technology Center contribute to GE Aerospace's engineering work on indigenous programs, new engine programs, software development, and additive manufacturing, supporting the country's position as an advanced aerospace hub. We are committed to a culture based on respect for people and provide professional growth opportunities for our employees. Join us and find an opportunity to shape the future of flight.

Develop and manage the end-to-end manufacturing plan for assigned New Technology Introduction (NTI) hardware — translating design requirements into a practical, executable manufacturing route across internal operations, suppliers, sub-tiers, and special process sources — to support successful qualification and delivery.

Role Overview

  • Create end-to-end manufacturing plans for assigned NTI parts
  • Define routing, process sequence, tooling, inspection requirements, and outside processing needs
  • Assess producibility and identify manufacturing risks early in the planning cycle, before they reach the shop floor
  • Map supplier, sub-tier, and special process dependencies required to execute the part, and support make/buy and source decisions
  • Serve as the part-level manufacturing project manager through planning and execution — tracking milestones, constraints, and open issues to closure
  • Engage the right SMEs as needed, including special processes, materials, quality, tooling, manufacturing experts and others
  • Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, tooling, suppliers, and special process owners — often without direct authority over them
  • Document manufacturing plans, assumptions, risks, decisions, and lessons learned for reuse on future parts

The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing engineering professional with deep aerospace and aircraft engine component experience, proven ability to build end-to-end manufacturing plans for NTI hardware, and strong cross-functional leadership skills to identify risks early, coordinate complex stakeholders, and drive successful qualification and delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience designing, manufacturing, inspecting, and/or improving one or more part families, commodities, value streams, or manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, inspection methods, process controls, quality systems, and producibility/manufacturability principles in aerospace industry.
  • Aircraft engine components manufacturing shop experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a manufacturing plan end-to-end — routing, tooling, inspection, and outside processing
  • Experience identifying and managing supplier, sub-tier, and special process dependencies
  • Ability to lead cross-functional coordination and communicate clearly across shop floor, engineering, suppliers, and leadership — including surfacing risk or bad news early

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on new product/technology introduction (NPI/NTI) programs, including producibility assessment at the design stage,
