We are seeking an OB/GYN Physician to join a growing, physician-led healthcare system serving communities throughout eastern North Carolina. This opportunity offers the resources of a major regional health system with a strong network of OB/GYN specialists, advanced maternal and neonatal care, and both academic and community practice opportunities.

Position Highlights

• Full-time employed position
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Shared call responsibilities
• Inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities
• Privileges at a 974-bed Level I Trauma Center
• Approximately 4,100 deliveries annually
• Approximately 350 maternal transports annually
• Level IV NICU and state-of-the-art children's hospital
• Academic and community practice opportunities

Clinical Team & Resources

Physicians work collaboratively with an established multidisciplinary women's health team that includes:

• 11 General OB/GYN physicians
• 4 Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
• 3 Gynecologic Oncologists
• 1 Reproductive Endocrinologist
• 1 Urogynecologist
• 6 Certified Nurse Midwives

The broader health system includes nine hospitals, more than 1,200 academic and community providers, and over 220 primary and specialty care clinics.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care
• Manage routine and higher-risk pregnancies within an established referral network
• Provide inpatient and outpatient women's health services
• Perform appropriate OB/GYN procedures and surgical care
• Participate in the shared physician call schedule
• Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine, midwifery, neonatology, gynecologic oncology, and other specialists
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to quality and patient-safety standards

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completed or completing an accredited OB/GYN residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
• Ability to obtain appropriate hospital privileges
• Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative care skills
