The role
You will run an options book on Brent and WTI, with scope to extend into products and crack-related structures. The book is yours: you build the views, structure the trades, manage the Greeks and own the P&L.
This is a risk-taking seat, not market-making or sales. We want someone with a view on volatility, skew and term structure who runs it with discipline.
Location: Dubai, UAE or Geneva, Switzerland (on site)
Type: Full time
Reports to: Managing Director
What you'll do
* Trade listed oil options on ICE and CME/NYMEX, outright and against futures, within agreed risk limits
* Build and maintain a view on implied vs. realised vol, skew, term structure and event risk
* Structure trades to express it: spreads, flies, ratios, calendars, delta-hedged vol positions
* Manage the book's Greeks intraday and run the futures hedging programme
* Own daily P&L attribution — direction, vol, decay, hedging — and work with risk on limits, stress tests and VaR
* Contribute to desk pricing tools and vol surfaces as we build out in-house systems
What we're looking for
* 5+ years trading oil options with real risk — trading house, bank, hedge fund or prop firm — and a P&L track record you can walk through in detail
* Deep working knowledge of options pricing, Greeks and volatility dynamics in the energy complex
* Hands-on experience with ICE and CME/NYMEX oil contracts: expiries, settlement mechanics, liquidity
* Disciplined on risk: proper sizing, respect for limits, and the ability to explain every position on the book
* Strong Excel; Python or similar for pricing and P&L analysis is a strong plus
* Clear communicator who can explain a trade and its risk in two minutes to a non-specialist
* Able to work on site in Dubai or Geneva; visa sponsorship available
