Show job description

We are looking for an Operations Assistant to support our Head of Operations with organizing and coordinating the team. You will help keep priorities, meetings, information and follow-ups clear, and help the team stay aligned as our site and production organization grow.

This is a junior, hands-on role for someone who is organized, dependable and eager to learn. You will work closely with the Head of Operations, gain a broad view of how the business runs, and take on more responsibility as you build confidence and experience.

About us

We're a Germany-based rocketry startup currently in stealth mode, scaling up rapidly to meet the demand for high-performance, reliable, and scalable solid propulsion technologies for space and defense applications. We are building our first production facility and are applying our knowledge toward serial production of solid rocket motors.

We are working hard to build something truly spectacular.

To thrive here you will need to be comfortable working at pace, with the autonomy to make decisions and execute on them quickly. If you're excited by hard technical challenges and want a role where you will make a real difference each day to the future of the company, we may be the place for you.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Operations with day-to-day team organization, priorities and follow-through.

  • Coordinate team meetings and check-ins, including calendars, agendas, notes and action tracking.

  • Maintain clear task lists and team schedules, follow up with owners and flag delays or conflicting priorities early.

  • Help the Head of Operations communicate plans, updates and changes clearly to the team.

  • Support onboarding and training coordination for new team members, including practical arrangements and keeping relevant records up to date.

  • Coordinate day-to-day operational needs such as supplies, deliveries, site visits and service appointments with the appropriate team members.

  • Prepare simple status updates, team documents and presentations using information from the relevant owners.

  • Notice recurring coordination problems and help improve team routines, templates and ways of working.

  • Take on small operational tasks and improvement projects, with guidance from the Head of Operations.

What we are looking for

  • 0–3 years of experience in administration, team coordination, operations support, customer service, a working-student role or a similar setting. Relevant internships and practical experience count; extensive experience is not expected.

  • Strong organization and follow-through: you keep track of details, close loops and make sure agreed actions do not get lost.

  • A helpful, reliable and proactive approach. You are comfortable reaching out, asking questions and following up with people respectfully.

  • Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to handle changing priorities calmly.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.

  • Discretion when handling confidential business and team information.

  • Motivation to learn how an operations team works and to take on more responsibility over time.

  • Fluent German; English is strongly preferred for day-to-day coordination with local suppliers and the site team.

  • A completed vocational qualification, relevant training or equivalent practical experience is welcome, but not essential if you can demonstrate the skills above.

Desirable experience

  • Supporting a team lead or manager with coordination, meeting preparation or action follow-up.

  • Experience with calendars, schedules, onboarding or training coordination.

  • Familiarity with task trackers, project tools or an ERP system.

  • Exposure to manufacturing, engineering, logistics, construction or another hands-on environment.

  • Experience from an internship, working-student role, volunteer role or student organization where you helped organize a team or activity.

Benefits and important information:

  • We offer top-decile compensation packages, bonuses and meaningful equity, to attract exceptional aerospace talent.

  • Every employee is awarded stock options in the company, you will directly benefit from your own hard work and success.

  • Comprehensive relocation support including flights, shipping and visas.

  • Lunch, dinner and drinks provided everyday

  • Free access to shared company housing

Please note, we are a fast paced, hyper-scaling startup. You will need to be comfortable working extended hours with high levels of autonomy, ownership, and flexibility, with contracts structured around a 48-hour working week.

We are committed to building an equitable and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, has equal access to opportunity, and can thrive. We welcome different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences—and believe our differences make us stronger.
