FIFO Adelaide or Brisbane | Tier One Client | 5:2 Roster

Relocation to Adelaide available

Position Overview:

Join Civeo in working across a tier one client contract in both QLD and SA. This role will suit a senior leader with experience in contract management, client relationships and operational expertise.

At Civeo, we create exceptional experiences for people living and working away from home. We’re seeking a commercially minded, people-focused Operations Manager to provide leadership and operational direction across three villages, driving safe, profitable and high-quality hospitality services.

Reporting to the General Manager, Resident Experience, you will lead and support Village Managers while acting as a key point of contact for client representatives across two client contracts. You’ll combine hands-on operational leadership with strong commercial oversight, ensuring the operation delivers against client expectations, financial targets, safety requirements and service standards.

This is a highly visible leadership position suited to someone who can confidently lead a complex operation, build trusted client relationships and develop capable site leaders. You’ll work closely with operational and support teams to maintain strong governance, improve performance and create a consistently high standard of service across catering, cleaning, wellness, safety and other village services.

The position operates on a 5:2 roster, with weekly travel to site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational performance, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality service delivery across the operation.
  • Lead, coach and support Village Managers and site leadership, setting clear objectives and driving accountability for performance.
  • Build strong relationships with client representatives and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted operational partner.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of client agreements, including occupancy, revenue and agreed service levels.
  • Drive performance against operational KPIs and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency and customer outcomes.
  • Work closely with operational and support functions to ensure initiatives, systems and processes are effectively implemented.
  • Maintain strong safety, quality and environmental standards, including relevant ISO and HACCP requirements.
  • Provide commercial oversight of the operation, including budgets, P&L performance and achievement of EBITDA targets.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement without compromising safety, employee experience or customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety and continuous improvement.

Experience:

  • Solid management experience within the accommodation, mining, minerals & resources sector or remote workforce environments will be highly regarded.
  • Experience leading operational teams and developing frontline leaders in a FIFO environment.
  • Demonstrated accountability for client relationships and delivery against contractual service expectations.
  • Experience understanding and managing Profit & Loss performance.
  • Experience working with ISO, HACCP and other relevant quality standards.
  • A practical, solutions-focused leadership style with the ability to manage competing operational priorities.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business or Hospitality, and/or extensive demonstrated management experience, is desirable.
  • Strong business management and financial analysis capability.
  • Highly developed people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building capability.
  • Working knowledge of accommodation management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Working knowledge of JDE, Triniteq and Kronos is desirable.
  • Strong planning, organisation and decision-making capability.

  • Open manual Class C driver’s licence.
