Optometrist – Full-Time, On-Site | $213,000/year Location: Crescent City, California Position: Full-Time, On-Site Compensation: $213,000/year About the opportunity Stallant Health is seeking a full-time Optometrist to help develop optometry services at our growing healthcare organization in Crescent City, California. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape and develop our optometry program from the ground up. This is an on-site clinical position for an optometrist interested in practicing comprehensive eye care within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. About the area: Crescent City is located in the northwest corner of California, offering an amazing opportunity for the outdoor enthusiast. The area is home to the Redwood State and National Forest, multiple coastline beaches, two lighthouses, surfing, camping, hiking, and fishing. Stallant Health and Wellness is a Rural Health Clinic, serving the needs of our community with medical, dental, chiropractic, and counseling services. We are in the process of expanding our clinic facilities, and we are seeking more specialists to come onsite to work with us, to further meet the needs of the patients we serve. Compensation and Benefits $213,000 annual salary, for full productivity Employer-paid medical insurance for employees and eligible dependents Dental and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with 4% company match after one year and qualifying hours $50,000 employer-paid life insurance policy Paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays Company-paid professional liability coverage Relocation support available for candidates considering a move Responsibilities Perform comprehensive eye and vision examinations Diagnose and manage common ocular diseases and visual disorders Prescribe corrective lenses and appropriate therapies Evaluate and manage urgent eye complaints within the optometric scope of practice Provide diabetic, glaucoma, and other medically necessary eye-care services as appropriate Develop treatment and follow-up plans Coordinate referrals and co-management with ophthalmology and other specialists when necessary Collaborate with primary care and other clinical departments, as needed Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Help develop efficient clinical workflows as Stallant expands its optometry services Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree Active California Optometrist license Strong diagnostic and patient-care skills Interest in providing care to a rural and underserved patient population Willingness to practice on-site in Crescent City, California If you are an optometrist looking for an excellent compensation and benefit package, and the opportunity to build something substantial in Northern California, we would like to speak with you.
