Procures grain and establishes supplier relationships while supporting the goals and objectives of the commodities group and the Company. Purchases feedstock as required with a focus on direct farmer purchases. Establishes relationships with area producers through consistent communications and farm visits. Assists with updating a database of competitor bids, discount schedules, and receiving hours. Assists with maintaining a regional corn supply / demand estimate. Communicates grain contract types offered and recommends a contract type to meet the needs of individual farmers. Enters purchase contracts into grain accounting system. Participates in weekly origination update meetings with SA team members. Organizes/leads commodity market update meetings with farmers. Organizes/leads sustainability program information sessions with farmers. Participates in daily plant operations meetings. Gains knowledge of a minimum of two trade areas and plant operations. Establishes strong working relationship with Shipping/Receiving Supervisor and QA/QC Lab Manager Relocation assistance available. Qualifications Bachelors degree (or higher-level degree) in Agriculture Economics or a business-related curriculum required. A minimum of three years of origination experience or experience in a similar role required. This position does not offer sponsorship.
