Orthopaedic Advanced Practice Provider – Trauma
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center – Lebanon, NH
Dartmouth Health’s Department of Orthopaedics is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Associate or Nurse Practitioner) to work at our academic medical center in Lebanon, NH. You will play a key role in delivering comprehensive musculoskeletal care, with a primary focus on Trauma. In this collaborative environment, you’ll work alongside physicians, APPs, residents, and clinical support staff to manage both patients within both team clinic and independent clinic settings. This outpatient role offers the opportunity to be a part of a dynamic, highly supportive team caring for complex patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care, including patient evaluation, imaging, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Manage patient communications, including calls, prescription refills, results, and urgent triage.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as injections, aspirations, splinting, casting, bracing, minor outpatient procedures, and wound care.
- Participate in peer-to-peer reviews for insurance coverage and support administrative requirements.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and educational opportunities, including mentoring APPs, students, and peers.
- Cover day call on a regular rotational basis.

Requirements:
- BLS certification
- Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a PA or APRN (FNP or AGACNP) in NH
- Successful completion of an approved PA/APRN program
