Project Overview: Bechtel’s Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing and building an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing Facility located at Generation Park in Houston, TX. Job Summary: The Primavera P6 Administrator serves as the functional and technical authority for Primavera P6, responsible for the administration, configuration, maintenance, and support of scheduling systems across Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) projects. The role ensures system reliability, data integrity, security, and compliance with established standards while providing technical support, training, and guidance to project teams and Project Controls personnel. "This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership” #LI-SM2 Major Responsibilities: Administer and maintain Primavera P6 environments, including databases, EPS and OBS structures, calendars, codes, layouts, security profiles, resource dictionaries, and global data. Configure and support P6 applications to meet project, business, client, and organizational requirements. Establish, maintain, and enforce scheduling standards, templates, coding structures, resource loading frameworks, administrative procedures, and schedule quality requirements. Administer schedule health reviews using DCMA 14-Point metrics, client-specific requirements, and corporate standards. Document findings, track corrective actions, and support resolution of schedule quality issues prior to project submittals. Manage project setup activities, including project creation, enterprise data configuration, user provisioning, security administration, and access controls. Administer enterprise resource structures, roles, rates, and resource loading methodologies to support workforce planning, forecasting, capacity analysis, and project performance reporting. Perform schedule imports, exports, baseline management, data validation, archive management, and other system administration functions. Monitor system performance, database integrity, and application health; troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and user-related issues. Perform periodic schedule quality audits to identify logic deficiencies, excessive constraints, float anomalies, invalid calendars, coding non-compliance, resource-loading issues, and other schedule health concerns. Additional Major Responsibilities Escalate unresolved findings and support corrective action implementation. Coordinate software installations, upgrades, patches, testing, and deployments with Information Technology, corporate support organizations, and software vendors. Serve as the primary point of contact for Primavera P6 support, providing technical guidance and issue resolution to planners, schedulers, project controls personnel, and project teams. Develop and maintain system documentation, user procedures, standards, data governance practices, and training materials; deliver user training and onboarding programs. Support integration of Primavera P6 with related Project Controls, reporting, digital delivery, and client systems, including the exchange, validation, and reconciliation of schedule and resource data. Collaborate with project teams and clients to support interface requirements between P6 and enterprise business, reporting, staffing, and project management systems. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, system enhancements, and emerging technologies that improve scheduling efficiency, data quality, and user experience. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Advanced knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 administration, configuration, and enterprise data management. Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, Project Controls, and Critical Path Method (CPM) principles. Advanced understanding of DCMA 14-Point Schedule Assessment methodology, schedule quality metrics, and schedule governance practices. Experience using schedule quality analytics tools such as Acumen Fuse or equivalent applications to evaluate schedule health, compliance, and performance. Experience administering enterprise scheduling environments, including project structures, resource management, security, and data governance. Knowledge of database concepts, application administration, system troubleshooting, and systems integration. Familiarity with Project Controls reporting tools, client system interfaces, and digital delivery applications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and training skills. Preferred Qualifications Oracle Primavera P6 Professional or Primavera Administration certification. Experience supporting enterprise scheduling implementations and multi-project environments. Experience with Primavera P6 EPPM, Primavera Cloud, Synchro 4D, Power BI, or related Project Controls applications. Familiarity with SQL, database administration, and data integration tools. Experience supporting large EPC, manufacturing, semiconductor, life sciences, data center, or other complex industrial projects.
