• Employment Type: Full-time, hospital-employed physician position• Schedule / Hours: Standard hospital pathology schedule• Call: As required for pathology coverage• Patient Volume: High-volume acute care facility with growing demand for diagnostic pathology services• Location: Laredo, Texas (America’s largest inland port city)• Practice Setting: Established pathology department at a 183-bed acute care facility with state-of-the-art pathology laboratory• Support / Care Team: Collaborative pathology group with expanding team, laboratory technologists, and support staff
• EMR / Technology: Cerner EMR with advanced clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory equipment
Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive anatomic and clinical pathology services to a diverse patient population• Collaborate with the pathology group, clinicians, and laboratory staff to ensure high-quality diagnostic services• Participate in diagnostic evaluations, reporting, and quality assurance activities• Document findings and maintain accurate records within the hospital’s EMR system

Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology• Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain Texas licensure• Spanish language skills beneficial but not required
