Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Pediatrician to join our team at Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital (QNHCH). The Pediatrician will provide both inpatient and outpatient pediatric services, supporting high-quality, evidence-based care for infants, children, and adolescents throughout North Hawaii. Position Highlights Outpatient pediatric clinic practice Newborn assessment and management Inpatient pediatric consultations and admissions Emergency Department pediatric consultations Participation in pediatric resuscitations and stabilization Collaborative multidisciplinary care environment Opportunities for quality improvement and program development Supportive health system committed to clinical excellence and innovation Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive pediatric care in outpatient and inpatient settings. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions. Examine patients, obtain medical histories, and develop individualized treatment plans. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies. Manage newborn patients and hospitalized pediatric patients. Participate in admissions, observation care, transfers, and consultations. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring providers. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and physician education activities. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care throughout the health system. Minimum Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited School of Medicine, or ECFMG certification. Board Certified/ Board Eligible in Pediatrics Unrestricted Hawaii MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license If Board Eligible, certification must be obtained within five years of residency or fellowship completion. Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff privileges in good standing.
