Covelo DirectResponsibilities
- Perform all duties of a Staff Pharmacist while serving as a role model for the pharmacy team.
- Manage customer concerns professionally and direct workflow to minimize wait times and improve service.
- Develop, implement, supervise, and promote pharmacy sales plans and initiatives established by the division pharmacy department.
- Ensure compliance with all state pharmacy regulations, federal laws, and company policies.
- Lead the pharmacy team in achieving inventory utilization goals, minimizing overstock, reducing fill-on-arrival prescriptions, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Ensure all staff members are trained on and follow proper ordering and inventory management procedures.
- Comply with all corporate policies and procedures related to controlled substances.
- Monitor third-party insurance profitability and resolve billing issues, claim rejections, and audit requests in a timely manner.
- Schedule pharmacy staff efficiently to meet operational needs while controlling labor costs.
- Maintain all pharmacy records required by state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Drive the pharmacy to achieve budgeted labor, inventory, volume, and sales goals.
- Build relationships with local physicians and community partners through effective outreach and professional engagement.
- Promote, implement, and participate in public health initiatives, immunization programs, and disease state management services.
- Travel independently, as needed, to support business operations.
- Supervise, coach, and develop pharmacy staff by providing regular feedback and conducting performance evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited U.S. school of pharmacy.
- Minimum of two years of retail pharmacy experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Completion of company-sponsored clinical training programs.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret prescriptions and related documentation.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in a relevant pharmacy specialty.
- Additional education or experience in business or pharmacy management.
