You will administer treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Key Responsibilities: Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner. Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises. Identify patient’s needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences. Recommend options, courses of action or modifications in selected treatments ensuring patient’s progress, safety and comfort. Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services. Measure performance and report on patient’s medical record Adhere to ethical and legal standards. Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge activities. Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities - spine experience preferred. Ability to communicate and instruct effectively. Health care administration and documentation skills Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Physical Requirements: Physically demanding, high-stress environment Sitting for extensive periods of time Ability to lift, move, push or pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Required Skills and Abilities: Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork. Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the public. Excellent customer service skills. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages are preferred. Proficient computing skills, specifically healthcare related billing platforms, and MS Office Products. Subject to frequent interruptions. Ability to travel between outlying clinics (Williston, ND) and hospital. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Education and Experience: Graduate of accredited college or university with a certificate in Physical Therapy with a Master’s. Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy preferred. New Grads Welcome Previous EHR (EPIC0 knowledge experience preferred. Licenses and Certifications: Current State Physical Therapy Licensure Current BLS certification.
