Overview This position serves as Physician Assistant (TBI) located in the TBI Clinic at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC), Fort Gordon, GA. Physician Assistant (TBI) A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal Service.Student Loan repayment may be authorized This is a full-time Physician Assistant (TBI/Neurology) position at Fort Gordon, Augusta Georgia that affords job security, a competitive salary, bonuses, moving expenses, full malpractice coverage, up to 26 days paid vacation, 11 days paid Federal Holidays, a sick leave benefit, 401K, CME opportunities, an active GME program in primary care and surgical specialties and a first-class health and retirement benefit package. Salary: Up to-$116,362 per year Augusta is famous for its major attraction, The Masters Golf Tournament. Ft Gordon has a moderate year-round climate and offers close proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the Appalachian Mountains. It The Augusta area is a growing community with an excellent quality of life. A wide variety of cultural and outdoor recreational activities are readily available locally, and many more are easily accessible from the coast to the mountains. Augusta has a vibrant professional medical environment, including the Medical College of Georgia and other referral medical centers. The cost of living is quite reasonable, with quality homes at good prices. Responsibilities As a Physician Assistant (TBI) your duties will include, but are not limited to: Serves as a Primary Care Provider in TBI Neurology Clinic Providing Neurology services to inpatients and outpatients within the community under the direction of a Physician. Examining, diagnosing and treating walk-in and clinic appointment patients with Neurological disorders. Prescribing medication for common neurological diseases and common neurological disorders including headache syndrome. Ordering, collecting, and performing appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures and studies including, but not limited to, blood and tissue specimens. Ordering and performing diagnostic studies such as electromyography (EMG), electrocardiograms, compartment pressure measurements, and examinations including special x-ray examinations, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), ultrasound, and bone scans. Qualifications US Citizenship required Graduation from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA), or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the Secretary, U.S. Department of Education. Successful completion of the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing medical education (CME) and re-certification. All Applicants must be licensed as a Physician Assistant by the recognized licensing agency of a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
