Who we are
We’re a bold team with a bright future; and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it.
Evolution Mining is a premier global gold company operating six mines across Australia and Canada. We’re transforming mines and uplifting careers. We’ve extended the mine life of our Ernest Henry Operations to 2040 and doubled its ore reserves. We took our Cowal Gold Operations underground in just seven years. We’re transforming our Red Lake Operations, restoring it as a premier Canadian gold mine. That kind of ambition creates careers, not just jobs.
When we asked our people what they enjoy most about working at Evolution, two things came up across every site: career growth and the quality of the people. Here, you’ll work alongside people who care, who push one another to be better, with leaders who are there to support you.
What’s the opportunity?
If you enjoy being out in the pit, working hands-on and seeing the impact of your work on production, this is an opportunity to build your career with a team where your contribution matters every day. Working across active mining areas, you’ll support grade control, ore spotting and drilling activities that directly influence how ore is identified, mined and delivered to the plant. With experienced geologists and technicians around you, this role offers the chance to develop practical mining geology skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the Senior Geology Technician, you’ll:
- Help maximise ore recovery by supporting ore spotting and grade control activities across active open pit operations.
- Maintain the quality and integrity of geological data through accurate sampling, data collection and field observations.
- Support drilling programs by coordinating field activities and ensuring samples are collected, managed and dispatched correctly.
- Contribute to safe and efficient mining outcomes by working closely with geologists, mining crews and contractors.
- Keep geology activities running smoothly through equipment maintenance, stock management and day-to-day operational support.
Why Mungari Operations?
Mungari is a cornerstone asset in our portfolio, with a mine life to at least 2038. It’s operationally diverse, with opportunities to work on the surface or underground and a great team of people who care. Our recent expansion of the processing plant has more than doubled processing capacity from 2 million to 4.2 million tonnes per year. With open pit and processing all on one site, the operational diversity is ideal for uplifting careers.
