Plant Engineer

Plant Engineer We usually respond within a day Alianza Team is looking for an experienced plant engineer in Goldsboro North Carolina to streamline operations for the production of edible oil. The Plant Engineer is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and upgrading industrial machinery and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. They oversee equipment life cycles, manage maintenance programs, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Core Responsibilities and Duties Equipment Maintenance & Reliability: Develop and implement preventive/predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime. Operational Optimization: Improve production processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and resolve bottlenecks. Project Management: Design, install, and commission new equipment and manage facility upgrades. Troubleshooting: Analyze and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all machinery and operations comply with OSHA, environmental, and industry standards. Documentation: Maintain technical records, manuals, and maintenance logs. Supervision: Coordinate with or supervise technicians, contractors, and external vendors. Required Qualifications and Skills Education: A Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Experience: Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), PLCs, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, and project management skills. Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) designation may be preferred. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Machine uptime/availability.
